Florida University offers an MS in Management in association with Warrington College of Business. It is a hybrid, one-year program. The program is designed for students who don’t have any background and experience in the business. The highlights of the program are-

Coursework 

The curriculum consists of twenty-two core business fundamentals and ten electives. The business fundamentals are- financial accounting, managerial accounting, law, ethics, and organizations, managerial economics, finance 1: asset value risk-return, professional writing, organizational behavior, production, and operations management, global strategic management, marketing, and introduction to managerial statistics, marketing management, organizational behavior, and professional communication.  This could be something if you are planning to do MBA in USA.  Co Curricular programs Study Abroad Students have an opportunity to study abroad in any of the Hough Graduate Schools to expand their global exposure and experience. They can select from a variety of programs such as business, international affairs, and law. The Study Abroad option is offered twice. It is offered in Summer (one to five weeks) and in spring ( three to six months).  Graduate Dual Degrees The MIM students can pursue dual degrees to broaden their knowledge and skill base. The Dual degree program helps to diversify skills and build a strong business foundation. Certificates A Graduate Certificate is a recognition of the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Graduate certificates help in increasing the base of knowledge and skills. Students can pursue certificates in various fields such as engineering, health, and human performance, journalism and communication, liberal arts and science, medicine, pharmacy, public health and health professionals, and veterinary medicine. 

Admission Requirements and Prerequisites

The admission requirements of the program are-
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0
  • Non-business majors
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume/CV
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • IELTS/TOEFL score
  • Interview
Word of Advice The statement of purpose must not be longer than 600 words. It must include the reason behind applying for the program, and how the program and your career goals are aligned? and why you are a perfect candidate for the program. A resume must include all the duties and responsibilities served, leadership activities, and high school education.  The letters of recommendation must be from your current supervisor or employer.  Students must submit all the official transcripts from the institution. International students have to submit English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) scores. GMAT/GRE scores are not required.  Application Deadlines The application process has three deadlines. The first deadline is in January, the second deadline is in March and the last deadline is in May. 

Cost of the Program

The estimated cost of the management program is $16,983 for Florida Residents and $40,174 for non-Florida residents. Students are required to pay $350 for the professional development fee.  Scholarships The university offers limited merit-based scholarships. The scholarships are awarded during the time of application. The amount offered by the scholarship is $2000 to $5000.  Federal Student Aid and Loans Native students are eligible for federal loans. To apply for federal loan students have to submit a Federal Student Aid FAFSA Application. International students are not eligible to apply for federal loans or grant programs.
